My Blog Hop post & giveaway

Welcome to the Gelatin Printing Enthuiasts Facebook Group blog hop. It’s my turn to post today so I thought I’d share how I make post cards from my Gelli prints. They could be on paper or fabric, but the prints I’m using here were done on iron-on interfacing as shown on the Gelli website. You […]

Gelli Print Blog Hop & giveaways

I’m a member of the Gelatin Printing Enthusiasts Facebook Group which was started by Michele Reynolds, another WA hills artist. It now has over 1,500 members all over the world and I’m really enjoying being a member because it’s a very active group with people prepared to share their work and techniques – lots of […]

What’s on my messy desk today

I wanted to get another piece done for our exhibition – they have to be submitted by Saturday, but I’ve decided not to. It has to be 2 metres x 40cm, double sided, in eucalyptus colours. I have some silk I printed but I’m not mad on the colours and I think the size is […]

Geraldton workshop

The workshop was held in conjunction with the WAFTA Mysterium exhibition some of which also travelled to Geraldton and was on display at the ACDC Gallery where the workshops were held. It was all part of G Fest, a regional, annual festival. We […]

Busy, busy!

I’ve also made a finished piece which I’ve framed – it will be a sample and also for the Designing Women exhibition ‘Seams and Layers’ which opens 22rd […]

More Gelli Prints

Above: multi layered prints using stencils & stamps. The circle print is an exercise from the online course I was doing – playing with transparency and printing shapes – not quite sure where to go with it next. Below using the leftover same translucent paints to print in my visual diary. I made some glue […]

Gelli printing

I   Yesterday I started a short online course: Gelli Printing Plus with Carla Sonheim. These are a few of my early results. I’m enjoying painting on the Gelli plate. The last pic was just using up some left over paint but it will make a nice background or collage paper.

Gelli prints & a new stencil

A couple of new Gelli prints in my sketchbook. The 1st has some collage added. The 2nd is overlapped prints using stencils. Then I decided to cut a new stencil from drafting film. I’ll be using it with my Gelli plate, so I cut away 1 side – it can be used as a stencil […]
