My exhibition finishes next Sunday so I thought I’d show a few pieces from it. These are all done with heat transfer dyes, one of my favourite print techniques, and machine stitching. the 1st 2 are framed pieces & are now sold. The long quilted wall hanging might end up on my wall.
Now that my exhibition work is done I’ve started the big tidy up and re-organizing my work space and supplies – it’s a huge job! I found the pieces for the above quilt, started a few years ago in a workshop by Lisa Walton. After making a few more blocks with the couched yarns, I pieced them together. I’m not going to make the quilt the same as Lisa’s – it was quite large. Happy with this size and arrangement but I’m now contemplating adding some block &/or mono printing to it. Too hot at the moment to work in my studio so it may have to wait a while.
Sorry that I could not get to see your exhibition. They all look to be great pieces.
That’s OK Dorothy, thanks for commenting.
