It’s time for ROY G BIV again & the 4th colour of the rainbow is Green. My photos all show Australian flora. The first 3 were taken at Piney Lakes, where textile group, Designing Women meet – they will be used for a project we’re doing for an exhibition later this year.
The next photo is a grass tree in our backyard and the lotus leaves were photographed on holiday in Darwin 2 years ago.
For links to other green ROY G. BIV blog posts, go to Julie’s blog here & Jennifer’s blog here. Maybe wait until the weekend for Jennifer – I think she’s posting a little later.
Nice post, LInda. Would love to hear more about Designing Women and the exhibition you mentioned.
Thanks Roxanne. Designing Women is a textile group I’m a member of. We have an exhibition of our work every 2 years but also we have a display at a Perth craft fair each year to publicise our group which, this year, will be on the theme of our meeting place, set in bushland at the ecological education centre, Piney Lakes. http://www.designing-women-wa.blogspot.com.au
I love seeing all the plants from Australia that we don’t have here – beautiful greens!
I just love the grass tree…it makes me smile!
Those Banksias are lovely – a symphony in green all by themselves!
Thanks for the comments, everyone!
