This is my finished piece Veil of Secrets (150 x 58cm) from the Mysterium exhibition – detail below:Photographed for the catalogue by Josh Wells. I’ve been spending most of my week lately and continuing until after Christmas, caring for my parents, which is why I’ve been absent from blogging. It also means I can only work on […]
Yesterday I did my roster and artist talk at the Mysterium exhibition at the Central Tafe Gallery in Perth. Its a fabulous show of WAFTA members’ work that really shows the diversity of ideas and skills in the group – well worth seeing if you’re in Perth. Its on until 16th November. These pics […]
My table set up at the craft fair last Sunday. I had to move later when the sun came over but it was quite a successful day – sold enough to make it worthwhile and with pleasant surroundings, music, and a nice lunch, I was happy. The next day we went down to Denmark on the south coast of WA. for […]
I got a few more covered books made today for the Mia Flora craft fair tomorrow, as well as pricing and organising everything. Hope its not too hot as we’ll be outside.

I tried my new stencil in my sketchbook and on fabric – quite pleased with it. Below: a new thermofax screen made from a photo of fallen leaves from our perssimon tree. The […]

I printed some polyester fabrics with heat transfer dyes and cut out shapes with a soldering iron, then appliqued some of them onto a background to make a postcard. Thanks for your comment Judy – yes I do usually wear a respirator for that kind of work and would certainly advise anyone to buy a good fitting […]
Block print and hand painting on linen. Below: sequin waste used as a stencil over background print. Journal pages: various stencil and print techniques. Some of my small framed textile works. Glass makes it hard to photograph. This machine embroidered fabric collage on a thermofax printed background is now framed too. Sketchbook cover with appliqued […]
